Edit: Guh, everythime I look at this, I think of how much I draw Marlene like I draw Ginger.

With Private's flippers bandaged, He sat quietly outside Marlene's home, staring blankly at the water. Marlene couldn't hold back on a nagging question any longer. "Did the others do anything to you?"
Private shook his head. "Then why don't you want to go back there?" Marlene perused. Private frowned. I just can't.
It was getting harder and harder not to cry. Private's thoughts were overwhelming him. He folded his sore flippers in his lap, shutting his eyes. He wasn't able to stop a few tears that ran down his beak. Marlene was startled by this, and gingerly put a paw on his shoulder. Private wiped his eyes, but the tears did not stop.
It's all my fault, he thought bitterly. It must be!
Marlene was further startled, but tried her best to comfort the small penguin.
